GUŽVA U 16-ERCU ON THURSDAY IN KSET!

Unstoppable Gužva! 2 months have passed since the last concert in Zagreb, on the New Year’s Eve in Mochvara, and Gužva u 16-ercu is coming again in the capital of Croatia, precisely in KSET! This time they will officially promote „Je ne regrette rien“ album!

If you haven’t heard, this release brings 10 new songs with the rockin’ radio and TV hit single - „Mene više nema“. Members of Gužva have grown up, but their sincere attitude in creation, and devoted playing are the same; just like in the nineties when the band was formed.

Last show in KSET was 4 years ago, so this is great opportunity for band and fans to see what’s changed. Concert will be on February 23rd, entrance open from 20h, and support band will be Panj from Kutina. You can buy tickets until February 23rd in Dirty Old Shop and KSET (25kn); and on concert day at the entrance (35kn).There are no excuses to miss this punk – rock fiesta!

NEW GEENGER BAND: EMBASSY 516!

Geenger Records newest acquisition is a dream pop / shoegaze band Embassy 516 from Dubrovnik! After 5 years of devoted work, and with many concerts behind them, it’s time to exchange their demo status with first official release. Band shaped their author work in audio – video conceptual unity called Surveillance Of The Environment.

The title is taken from the social – communication model of Harold Lasswell from 1948., and it is first of the three steps of the function. 12 songs that will be on the release have been recorded & mixed in Kramasonik Studio, in production of Hrvoje Nikšić. Finalization of the project was given in the hands of Tom Baker from the reputable Precision Mastering Studio in Hollywood.

Announcement of the album will be on March 1st, with premiere of the single Souverain Bien. It will be available as a digital download. This release will present 2 non – released, bonus acoustic tracks from 2009. More on the official band web site!

Punk rock band Gužva u 16-ercu from Osijek announce new album “Je ne regrette rien” with the video single “Mene više nema”. Release will be available through January 2012. on Geenger Records. GerilaFilm from Osijek produced this video, in direction of Igor Sambolec with Robert Ferenc’s prouction assistance.

Igor Sambolec is 32 years old freelance director, photographer and film editor who is living on Zagreb – Osijek relation. In his own words; last few years he started video art production and he worked on several projects with many musicians. Idea of this video was to show what members of Gužva are doing for living today. After that they are playing a concert in the popular club Mini Teatar in their hometown Osijek.

Yes, that’s right! Since the beginning of Geenger Records, we tried to expand our roster as much as possible so now, after death metal, post-rock, avantgarde, indie rock, electro and synth-pop bands we have a purebred punk rock band here with us – Gužva u 16-ercu! (An approximate translation in English would be “a jam in the penalty area”).

Hi to all music consumers in our galaxy, and beyond! Hesus Attor and Geenger Records have some news for you!

Our math-core dadaists are going on a mini-tour this November, and this time they will be accompanied by their dear friends Asheraah, a band from Rijeka. They are a new act on Croatian underground scene but, trust us, they’re kicking butts with what they’re doing, and that’s a blend of instrumental post-rock/sludge which works great together with some very cool background videos.

This post-rock/math-core combo may seem a little bit strange, but we’re sure you won’t mind, because these bands deliver some serious ear and eye-thrashing live, and that’s what you, in fact, want, right?

RESET 2 RELEASE PARTY

Hiya folks!

Our latest release, “Reset 2” by Hemendex is still steaming hot, and it already received many favorable reviews – find them all on our website. A couple of days ago, the EP also got its share of newspaper coverage in Slobodna Dalmacija (review by Zlatko Gall), one of the leading newspaper from Croatia, and here’s a hi-res scan in case you don’t believe us.

Now when it’s obvious that things are getting serious, here’s another announcement – a release party for “Reset 2” will be held on September 24th in club KSET in Zagreb. It’s organized by Dance Department, a couple of DJs known for their series of 80’s-influenced dance events. An ideal place and time to promote new Hemendex record, if we may add! It’s been a busy summer here at Geenger Records – we had bands to promote, release parties to attend, gigs to see… And somewhere along the way we found nice new people to collaborate with. We’re talking about Kimiko, a two-piece indie/electro/pop pearl that’s been around the Zagreb scene for a couple of years now. We will release their debut album “From Our Room To Yours” sometime in November.

RUIZ AND HEMENDEX FEATURED ON CROATIAN RADIO!

Well, teh internetz are full of our bands, you’ve read about them in the newspapers, seen them on TV, and now we’ve managed to conquer the last media obstacle – national radio! The guys from Ruiz now feel truly accomplished, and the Hamandeggs collective shouldn’t be dissatisfied, too.

So, short story short, this was aired one sunny morning on the 2nd channel of Croatian Radio, and the relevant part of the show is available for streaming on Geenger Records Soundcloud. The charming voice behind the microphone belongs to Monika Lelas, and if you don’t understand what’s she saying in Croatian, you will definitely understand “Microscope” by Hemendex and “Go Go Go” by Ruiz.

What’s next, one can only wonder… Dance away and check back for updates later!

HESUS ATTOR ON TOUR

A big hello to all fans of loud avant-garde music and dadaism!

Geenger Records and Hesus Attor have some nice news for you – the band is about to start a series of concerts named “September Road Trip” which will pass through Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Slovenia. The reason is the further promotion of their latest EP “Señorai”, as well as spreading the musical craziness to all those present in mind and body.

RESET 2 PREORDER / NEW HEMENDEX VIDEO

Hi everybody, hope you’re fine and not too sad about another summer slowly passing into oblivion… Don’t get all moody and desperate now, that’s why we’re here!

So, Hemendex held a really nice gig at Terraneo festival, so now it’s time to move on and announce the possibility of preordering their newest EP “Reset 2” – either digital or in a nice digipak CD. Although still not officialy released, it could’ve been bought at Terraneo festival, and our good friends over at potlista.com did exactly that and wrote the first review. OK, now go to our Bandcamp page and make the preorder, the instructions are there and all you have to do is to be patient until 5th Semptember which is the release date.

That’s not all, of course – Hemendex also released the video that we mentioned before. The song is called “Microscope” and can be watched on our Youtube channel. The video is the product of collaboration between the young director Branko Banjac (www.fobb.hr) and the video section of non-profit cultural association “Baltazar”, especially its member named Jurajah who did digital editing and postproduction jobs.

Now when you know everything, off you go for the last chance to take swim and enjoy!

MASS HYPNOSIS ON MARTINSKA FESTIVAL!

Finally a real dirty punk festival in Croatia this summer!

Martinska is a camping resort near Šibenik where punks from all over gather for the last 11 years, and this time the festival is bigger and louder than ever!

Our metal maniacs Mass Hypnosis will be there on Friday, 12th August, the first day of the festival, so be sure to hear them live! Also don’t miss out Bolesno Grinje, Essence, Pasi and, of course, the mighty Doom!
