For everyone of you who is in need for some heavier stuff, we have the right thing for you! Not long ago we proudly presented E.N.D., thrash/groove metal band from Zadar and now it’s time to let you taste a bit from their forthcoming album Illustrating Evil.

Release date is set for 10th of June and it will bring us eight brand new songs, including Deception, which you can now listen exclusively on our Soundcloud page. After last week’s update about the new single by Franolić Ćulap duo, this week we’re presenting you an instrumental math-rock band from Belgrade named The Schtrebers and their new release. The band was formed back in 2004. by three friends with completely different music taste but the same passion for making music, which can be recognized in the sound they make. After many regional gigs where they were accompanied by bands such as Joe 4 and Repetitor, they decided to record their first EP and release it through Geenger Records.

Today we are happy to present you their EP entitled „1+1=10“ that consists of five songs which you can now listen and download on our official Bandcamp page.

It’s been a while since we announced Franolić Ćulap duo as one of the acts with upcoming release on Geenger Records. Just to refresh your memory, let’s repeat quickly: this ethno combo is comprised of world-renowned Croatian oud (arabic lute) player Dražen Franolić and percussionist Kamenko Ćulap. Their newest work named “Bujrum” will be released soon, and today we’re uncovering the first single from the album, entitled “Jasmin”. EMBASSY 516 DVD RELEASE!

1st of the 20 video clips from the upcoming “Transition Of The Environment” DVD by Embassy 516. Live studio session was recorded in Art Workshop Lazareti Dubrovnik, and totally produced with the help from volunteers of the AVCD (Audiovisual Centre Dubrovnik).

These are the songs from the “Surveillance Of The Environment” album that was released in May last year for the Geenger Records. All of them were played in totally new arrangements with many electronic inovations.

Another year, another Record Store Day we’re celebrating here at Geenger Records!

NEW GEENGER RECORDS BAND - E.N.D.

Today we’re proudly presenting you another name that joined us. We’re talking about E.N.D. (Evil Never Dies), well-known thrash metal/hardcore band from Zadar, Croatia.

The band’s first line-up was gathered in 1996. Through the years, besides the large number of people that passed through, band’s image and genre were changing gradually. Today, the style they grew is based on experimenting with many extreme metal and hardcore directions but in every way it’s a combination of powerful drum beats, low tuned guitars, thrashy riffs with occasional breakdowns and polymetrical parts followed by mid-pitch screaming vocals.

Experience that the band collected over the years can be expressed by a large number of gigs all over Croatia and neighbor countries, couple of demo records, videos, participation on compilation CD’s, EP, official full length album, countless interviews and presentations in magazines, newspapers, web portals, blogs, Radio and TV shows which gave them status of one of the most known, as one of the oldest active metal bands in the country and wider.

The band is currently working on their second official full length release. New album will contain 8 fresh new songs which will please not only modern metal supporters but also fans of thrash and hardcore genre and will be released by Geenger Records.

NEW GEENGER RECORDS BAND - HA DET BRA

Ha Det Bra may be the newest addition to our roster, but they’re by no means a new band. In fact, the beginnings of this hardcore / noise-rock band from Zagreb date all the way back to 1992. By 1996 they already published a handful of releases and, after gaining a cult following, went on hiatus in 1998. The members went on to pursue careers in others bands, most notable ones being Gone Bald and Analena.

They occasionaly made concert appearances on gigs dedicated to their late friend Ivica Baričević, and decided to resume all activities once again after one such event in 2012. Their performance was recorded and is available for wieving here. This January Ha Det Bra recorded 14 songs and their long awaited new release will soon be published on Geenger Records.

Until we update you on the progress of the release, check them out on YouTube, and if you happen to be around Zagreb on April 6, come and hear them live on Gričevanje, a popular open-air event in town centre.

"CIMET" BY CONSECRATION IS FINALLY OUT!

We’re glad to announce that Consecration’s new album ”Cimet“ is finally out! It’s available for streaming and downloading at out Bandcamp profile, and also as the CD in special cinnamon packaging! Literally, full of cinnamon, as you can see in the photo.

The album consists of seven songs which were recorded by Stefan Gaćeša, produced by Marko Jovanović and mastered by James Plotkin. Concept and design of CD was created by Antonio Karača while the typography pattern was generously donated by Nikola Djurek.

SUBSCALE'S DEBUT ALBUM "THE LAST SUBMISSION" IS OUT!

First we showed you their playthrough video for „Antecedent“, which was also their first single. Then we presented you the teaser video for their first album, and last week you were able to see the full album sampler and the cover art.

Finally, as we said, today is 13th of March 2013 and we proudly present you Subscale’s debut album entitled „The Last Submission“. Like we said last time, the album consists of 10 songs (tracklist was also revealed in our last post). Jovan Kosta Vučetić and Mario Tomašković did most of the work on this release including producing and mixing while Igor Čeranić helped them with mastering.

So prepare yourselves for almost 50 minutes of crushing riffs, aggressive electronics and unrelenting drums. You can listen and download the album on our official Bandcamp page, where you can also find cover art and lyrics for each song. If you decide to buy the physical release, you will get the enhanced version which contains already mentioned playthrough video, Subscale poster, album art, lyrics and promo pics.

More new releases! As we mentioned a few days ago, Shoot Me Wendy’s debut album „Sine Waves“ is out today! The album consists of 13 songs, including singles „I’ve Drowned Myself“ and „Giving You Up“. Dražen Gavrilović did almost all the work which includes recording, mixing and producing, while Hrvoje Prskalo helped him with the mastering.

Shoot Me Wendy will present this album today at Vintage Industrial Bar in Zagreb where they’ll be accompanied by their colleagues Go No Go, also members of Geenger Records.

NEW VIDEO BY GUŽVA U 16-ERCU IS NOW AVAILABLE ON OUR SITE

After yesterday’s exclusive premiere on Net.hr, the video for „Misli lake, a riječi teške“ by Gužva u 16-ercu is now available on our site. As we mentioned, it is the official video for their third single from the album „Je ne regrette rien“.

The video was filmed by Krešimir and Luka Pejić, young filmmakers from „Novi Film Osijek“ association, whose work was already featured on several international movie festivals. The idea for this video comes from socially aware lyrics with a dose of society criticism and humor. The video was filmed on three locations, using a lot of props, and as band said, with a lot of fun during the filming process. Igor Dmitrić Muto, frontman, admitted that this song is actually a personal favourite of the band and that they are extremely satisfied with the work of Pejić brothers.

This Friday, 22nd of February, the powerpop/post-punk quartet Shoot Me Wendy will introduce the audience with their new album entitled „Sine Waves“. The release party will take place at Vintage Industrial Bar in Zagreb. They will be accompanied by indie rockers Go No Go, who will also bring something new to the stage, and that is not just their new material but the new drummer as well.

The album „Sine Waves“ will be available on our official Bandcamp page on Friday.
